Notes of Parish Meetings
Notes from the Parish Council Meeting - June 2008
The following were amongst items discussed at Parish Council meetings and information received by the Clerk. The full minutes may be found here.
1. Withdrawal of school bus service to Impington Village College. We have received a reply from the County Council to our letter mentioned last month. It says that the County Council has commissioned a new risk assessment from an independent company which will be circulated when available. The appeal will be heard 21 May 2008.
2. Annual Parish Meeting. We regret that this appears to have clashed with a number of other events and attendance was low. Next year we intend to hold the meeting in April and return to the Girton Glebe School. Written reports received from Cllr Reynolds, Cllr Bygott, the Chairman, Girton Town Charity and Neighbourhood Watch are available in the parish council office. Thanks were expressed to Cllr Bullman who has stepped down as District Councillor for all the work he has done for the village, and the parish council wish to add their own thanks.
3. Countryside Access Map. Cambridgeshire County Council has produced a map entitled The Walks and Rides Around the Northstowe Hundred. Copies of this free map are available at the parish council office.
4. Forthcoming meetings. The next Parish Council meetings will be held on Wednesday 18 June and Wednesday 16 July at St Vincent's Close Community Centre. The meetings will begin at 7.30pm.
